Sorbaes: Sundae line-up announcement

Sorbaes: Sundae is back for a third season and more delicious than ever as it returns to Arts Centre Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Sunday 26 February as part of Live at the Bowl.
This season, DJ and designer Soju Gang’s (Gunai/Kurnai, Yorta Yorta and Wiradjuri) club concept ventures into a new and intimate area inside Gate 1 with a specially designed viewing deck for those wanting a VIP experience.
"I’m super excited to be running Sorbaes for a third year, and I'm even more excited for what we have organised for 2023 in collaboration with City Sessions. I don't take these opportunities lightly: to not only be able to showcase the endless talent we have present in Melbourne's music scene, but to create a space of community, inclusion and love," said Soju Gang.
With more flavour, Sorbaes is serving up the goods with an afternoon session, paired with a line-up that boasts some of the best in their respective genres and scenes to dance the night away. The line-up includes 1300, AKOSIA, Brown Suga Princess, DJ Nay Nay, Kaylah Truth, OJ KUSH, Stev Zar and Voldy.
The music isn't the only reason to get down. Collaborating for the first time together at the Bowl, Cypher Culture’s City Sessions is joining the party and hosting a live cypher showcasing the very best of dance against the backdrop of Sorbaes: Sundae.
The all ages, family-friendly event will donate $2 from every GA ticket sold and $5 from every VIP ticket sold to The Dhadjowa Foundation. Founded by Apryl Day, daughter of the late Aunty Tanya Day, The Dhadjowa Foundation is an organisation that supports and amplifies the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families whose loved ones have died in custody. The Dhadjowa Foundation are currently auspiced by Ngarrimili Ltd, a DGR charity.
"As always, it's important for me to give a voice to my community and the hardships we face, so once again we aim to support the Dhadjowa Foundation. Blak Deaths in Custody still occur, the mistreatment and injustice of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait community by police still occurs, and by giving visibility to this cause I hope to show that this hasn't faded away," said Soju Gang.
